Project Description: The St. Elizabeth Medical Center Dietary Department Addition & Renovations project consists of 20,000 square feet of addition and 22,000 square feet of renovation to the existing medical facility.

 

This project relocated and replaced the existing kitchen, cafeteria & serving line while still maintaining dining services for staff, patients & visitors.  The new cafeteria & serving line is located in the area of the former Emergency Department.  The kitchen was moved to a new second floor above the new Emergency Department and Trauma Center.

 

The new cafeteria is an interior space, which resulted in the use of faux windows with light boxes and garden murals being installed to provide the desired atmosphere and visual relief.

 

This project was done in conjunction with the Emergency Department and Trauma Center expansion project.
